I still remember the day I set out to perfect knafeh in my kitchen—because no one outside the Arab world ever quite gets that gooey, orange-blossom sweetness just right. As a proud Palestinian, I know our people are sweet, beautiful, and delightfully opinionated—especially when it comes to our crown jewel of desserts.
